Shelter Bay Fishing Charter's is located on the southern shore of Lake Superior. Following the Lake Superior shoreline from Munising to Marquette, Shelter Bay is just past AuTrain. Shelter Bay Fishing Charter's is directly on the shoreline of Lake Superior.

Stannard Rock Fishing Charter

The best fishing charters on Lake Superior are to Stannard Rock, (sometimes called the 'Standard Rock' fishing charter).

Lake Superior's Big Reef Fishing Charter

Ranking at #1 with Stannard Rock fishing chaters is Lake Superior's Big Reef fishing charter. Fish at Stannard Rock & the Big Reef are large (20#'s plus) and catches are consistent.

Grand Marais Fishing Charter

The fishing charter to Grand Marais, which travels along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, is the next best.

Local Lake Superior Fishing Charters

And if your fishing time is limited, fishing Shelter Bay Flats is ideal. Grand Island fishing is particularly good in Trout Bay, which is Lake Superior's inlet on the east side of Grand Island.

Local fishing charters go about 6-8 miles out on Lake Superior. Hourly fishing charters also go out about 6-8 miles on Lake Superior.

Lake Superior Fishing Reports

Fishing picked up in Munising, Michigan (Munising Bay area) and around Grand Island, particular in the Trout Bay area where a fair number of splake have been caught. Both the Munising Bay and the Grand Island fishing areas are local charters. Shelter Bay Flats consistently produces Lake Superior Lake Trout, as well as Coho (Salmon), Chinook, and Steelhead.

Stannard Rock Fishing Reports

There is just nothing like fishing at fishing Stannard Rock!!! If you have never been fishing Stannard Rock, it is an adventure of a lifetime you don't want to miss. Stannard Rock is a full day fishing charter to the most remote fishing location on Lake Superior where fish come up from the depths to feed on a sunken island nearing the surface. Lake Superior Lake Trout in excess of twenty pounds are generally caught by casting spoons and jigs.

Lake Superior Big Reef Fishing Reports

The Big Reef is just thirty miles out and famous for its regular big laker's (Lake Superior Trout) over twenty pounds. It is also a very consistent area to catch fish.
